The Max Weber Foundation’s Research Centre Ukraine in Lviv is looking for
an office manager (f/m/d).
The Max Weber Foundation German Humanities Institutes Abroad maintains ten research institutes and several branch offices and project offices in European and non-European host countries as well as a joint office in Bonn. It employs around 350 people worldwide and supports numerous scholarship holders.
As part of its commitment to promoting international humanities research, the Max Weber Foundation is establishing a new institution in Ukraine, Lviv, focusing on research, scholarly exchange, academic cooperation, and dialogue between Ukrainian, German, and international scholars.
To move this mission forward we are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic office manager to join our team in Lviv, preferably starting by April 1st.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the RCU’s daily office activities (ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office, maintaining office supplies and equipment, coordinating facility needs)
- Providing logistics support to scholars and fellows affiliated with or visiting the RCU
- Supporting the planning and organisation of RCU’s events in Ukraine and abroad
- Managing incoming communication and inquiries.
Requirements:
- A relevant vocational training or bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in office management, administration, or similar roles, preferably (but not necessarily) within an international organisation environment
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
- High proficiency in written and spoken Ukrainian and English (or German)
- Solid communication skills and comfort interacting with scholars and visitors
- Interest in supporting academic work, research logistics, and institutional development
- Knowledge of relevant software and office equipment.
