The Max Weber Stiftung India Office is looking for filling the following position for its Delhi office to begin earliest on 1 April 2026. It is a fixed-term vacancy, which following the successful completion of a probation period of 6 months, would end after 2 years, with the possibility of an extension. It is a full time position with a possibility of reducing work hours.
As this position is based in India, the applicant should either have Indian nationality or have the permission to work in India.
Max Weber Stiftung (MWS) is a public-funded, German humanities and social science research foundation with institutes and branch offices in North America, Europe, and Asia. It was established in India in 2014 to engage in Indo-German collaborative research in the humanities and social sciences and to provide support to Indo-German research networks and collaborations in these fields. It promotes both interdisciplinary and transnational approaches in research on the South Asian region.
The selected candidate will report directly and be accountable to the Director, Max Weber Stiftung, Delhi.

The starting salary would be based on the salary scheme of the Embassy of Federal Republic of Germany in New Delhi, which is around INR 95,000 per month. Medical benefits, Annual Bonus and Employee Provident Fund would also apply.
